16 Days in WA - Stop the Violence Campaign Commences 25 November 2021
25th Nov 2021

The 16 Days in WA campaign is now in its 5th year and take inspiration from the global movement for 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-based Violence to drive a change in culture, behaviour and attitudes that lead to domestic and family violence. Help BIA create change during the campaign - to educate, motivate and advocate in your community, and stand up to stop domestic violence. Lets call out this unacceptable behaviour.

Did you know:

- 1 in 5 Australian's believe domestic violence is a normal reaction to stress and that sometimes a woman can make a man so angry he hits her without meaning to.

- 2 in 5 Australians would not known where to get outside help for a domestic violence issue.

- 65% of assualts recoreded in WA last year were related to family and domestic violence (73% of these victims were female).

Look out for our posters promoting the campaign, our staff's orange Stop the Violence badges and stay posted on our facebook for more updates.

Don't be silent when you see violence.
