Luggage Allowances

Checked luggage allowances vary with each airline according to the specific conditions of your ticket. The conditions indicate the quantity, size, type and weight of your baggage allowance. Contact your airline if you need to confirm your checked luggage allowance.

Trolleys

Complimentary baggage trolleys are available for both arriving and departing passengers.

Baggage Storage

Baggage Locker Storage facilities are available for a maximum period of 7 days. Two different size lockers are ready for hire, the lockers are located in the 2 hour car park at the end of the Administration Building.

Instructions for the use and hire of the lockers can be found on the front of the locker pay station.

Please note that there are NO baggage lockers available for oversized baggage such as surfboards, swags or bikes. Due to strict security regulations baggage/luggage must not be left unattended at Broome International Airport.

Lost Property

If you believe you left an item on an aircraft, you will need to contact your airline directly.

If you think you left an item in the Terminal or the car park, you can visit our Customer Service Desk located in the Check-In area of the Departures Terminal.

Alternatively, phone us on 08 9194 0600 to report a lost or found item.

ATM

There are ATMs located in the Departure Terminal at the Check-In area and in the Departure Lounge.

Public Telephones

Public telephones are located approximately 50 metres from the Arrivals Terminal doors, near the Car Hire offices and inside the Departure Lounge.

Special Needs

Disabled parking bays are located within the car park near the Departure Terminal doors and are clearly marked.

The departure Terminal has a pick up/drop off area at the kerbside in front of the terminal for 2 minute stopping.

Unisex toilets for the physically impaired are located outside the Arrivals Terminal and in the Departure Lounge area.

Wheelchairs are available for use inside the terminal, see airline staff. Passengers requiring assistance are asked to contact the airport prior to their travel date so assistance can be arranged – see our page.

Baby Care Facilities

Fold down baby change tables are located in the unisex toilet located outside the Arrivals Terminal, and in the departures and arrivals terminals.

Showers

Shower facilities are located in the Departure Lounge toilets.

No Smoking

The Broome International Airport Terminal is a smoke free area. Smoking is only permitted outside the terminals in designated areas and away from the terminal doors.

Broome Qantas Regional Lounge

Due to airport construction works, the Broome Qantas Regional Lounge will be closed temporarily from late March 2013.  The airport works will include an expansion to the current lounge, with the new lounge expected to re-open in the third quarter of 2013.
